Northwest Sustainable Energy for Economic Development and Seattle City Light is presenting a workshop that targets individuals, with little or no solar background, that are interested in an overview of solar energy applications for their home or business.
When: Thursday, April 23, 2009, 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: ERAC/Highline Public Schools, 15675 Ambaum Blvd. S.W., Burien, WA 98166
This workshop is FREE. (Registration required, registration opens 45 days prior to event)
This workshop attempts to answer questions such as: What solar options are there for Seattle residents? Are there any financial incentives and what are they? How do I determine if I have a good location for a solar installation? The design, installation, costs and benefits of both solar electric (photovoltaic) and solar hot water systems will be covered. This workshop should help participants decide which options best suit their particular goals and resources.
Additional presentations are available at later dates that participants may choose in order to gain a more in-depth understanding of one of the technologies by attending a Solar Works! Introduction to Solar Electric(PV) or our Solar Hot Water 101 workshop.
